Code :The cranes are strictly designed as per the requirements laid sown in IS 3177/ IS 807/ IS 800. IS 4137/ IPSS STD will be followed whenever steel plant cranes are required.

Girders :The crane girders are manufactured from IS 2062 Gr. B quality steel. The girders are of welded box type construction with proper provision of full depth diaphragms/ short diaphragms. The butt welds in tension zone are subjected to radiographic testing.
Girders are connected to end carriages with suitable gusset plates by means of machined bolts to provide rigidity and to maintain the alignment of mechanical components.

End Carriages :The end carriages are designed to take care of vertical bending moment caused by wheel load and horizontal bending moment caused by skewing. The end carriages are designed to take care of vertical bending moment caused by wheel load and horizontal bending moment caused by skewing. the end carriages are of welded box construction and are designed to property receive the wheel assemblies.

Walkways :Suitable chequered steel plate platform of min 750, width is provided on one side of the girder to facilitate maintenance of various equipments of the crane. The width of platform in front of electrical control panels is increased to provide maintenance space. Two short platform are provided on the other side of the crane to facilitate maintenance of cable trolleys.

Gear Boxes :All the gear boxes of hoisting mechanism, cross travel mechanism & long travel mechanism are of totally enclosed design and oil splash lubricated. The gear box casings are fabricated and stress relieved All the pinions & gears are supported on Ball/Roller bearings. The pinions & gears are suitably hardened to take care of the wear.

Wheel Assemblies :The wheel assemblies used for cross travel & long travel are of 'L' types. The wheels are manufactured from forged steel and hardened to min. 250 to 300 BHN hardness. The wheels are supported on self aligning type spherical roller bearings.

Rope Drum : The rope drums are fabricated from steel of IS 2062 Gr B quality or from seamless pipes and are stress relived before machining. Rope drums are machined to receive the wire rope in single layer.

Couplings : The hoist rope drums are coupled to the hoist gear box through geared / barrel couplings. All the other couplings are geared type.

Motors : All the motors are crane duty, slipring or squirrel cage type motors, cl. B/F insulated in IEC frame size as per international standards.

Brakes : All the motions are provided with crane duty electro hydraulic thruster operated brakes. For heavy duty applications DC brakes are used as per customer's requirement.Limit Switches: Hoist mechanisms is provided with rotary limit switch and gravity limit switch C.T. & L.T. mechanisms are provided with heavy duty lever limit switches.

Micro speed Arrangement : All the motions of the crane can be provided with micro speed arrangement which consists of rotating planetary gear box with motor as per customer's requirement. Integral planetary gear box can be provided if so desired.

Control : The cranes will be provided with either cabin control or floor control or remote control as per customer's choice.

General: The layout of the crane drives/equipments mechanism is is properly orientated to facilitate easy maintenance. provided with Each motion is provided with individual control rotary limit panel. Spring buffers for CT & LT & rail and sweep.

	Code : The gear boxes for which cranes are strictly designed in consists of rotating planetary gear box with motor as per accordance with IS3177 and IS4460.
	Type : The gear boxes are of helical design. We can offer you gear boxes having input/ output shafts at right angles with the use of helical gears. The hardness of gears is 180-210 BHN and that of pinions 200 - 260 BHN.
	General Features : Suitable breathing hole, drain plug and inspection window with cover is provided for all gear boxes.
